At OPAL, we are focused on making ISO 9001, Quality Systems Management, Strategic Planning and Business Systems Development simple for you and for your organization. When implemented correctly a well managed Quality System ensures that your company maintains Good Business Practices so that your customers and perspective customers TRUST you.
We keep it simple!
We won’t exhaust years of your time giving you information in small doses until your quality budget is depleted. We want to give you as much information as we can in the shortest amount of time and in a manner that does not disrupt your organization unnecessarily.
OPAL projects are developed and implemented based upon the unique environment and culture of your organization. We work with your management teams to determine organizational goals and the plans and actions necessary to meet them. We have determined that most project activities fall into four stages.
Stage 1 – Initial Review
The Initial Review includes a discussion(s) with Executive Management. We work together to determine short-term and long-term goals. This review may include, but is not limited to:
- Cursory review of business capabilities and its organizational structure
- Facility tour
- Short interviews (10 – 15 minutes) with key personnel
- Cursory review of documentation – hard and soft copies
- A quote for the completion of Stage Two
Stages 2, 3 & 4 of the Business Systems Development Process are independently priced and implemented. This gives you the freedom to decide when and how your organization will meet established goals given your financial and resource constraints.
Stage 2 – Assessment
We perform a more detailed assessment based on conclusions drawn from the Initial Review.
- We prepare and deliver a System Assessment Report or a Gap Analysis (or both) which provides a summary of where the company stands in relationship to stated short term and long term goals.
- We coordinate with Executive Management to prepare and deliver an implementation plan including estimated time-lines, human and technical resources and costs associated with the completion of Stage Three & Stage Four.
The time frame for completing this assessment varies and is dependent upon the size and complexity of the organization and the goals and objectives as determined by Executive Management during Stage One. However, most organization are complete within 2 – 8 business days.
Stage 3 – Implementation
We coordinate with executive management and identified staff members to implement the plan that was established in Stage Two.
This may include but is not limited to the creation or enhancement of one or more of the following systems, processes and initiatives:
- Customer Satisfaction – Understanding customer needs and how to meet or exceed their requirements
- Quality & Business Systems Planning – Executives will learn the importance of establishing a unified purpose and direction for the organizations that they are responsible for. Supporting management teams will learn how to set, implement and evaluate the success of challenging, yet realistic goals and objectives. Opal will provide tools for coordinating the involvement and support of team members throughout the organization.
- Meeting Coordination/Project Management – Team leaders will learn how to coordinate and facilitate effective meetings and build project management skills. This is a very important skill and necessary as the organization moves forward towards ISO compliance and/or certification.
- Continual Improvement - Your leadership teams will learn how to monitor and measure the organization’s overall performance and how to react quickly to opportunities for improvement.
- Process & System Control – Implementing a process approach ensures that desired results are achieved and that supporting resources and activities are managed more effectively. Identifying and managing the processes that drive the organization as a system contributes to the organizations effectiveness.
- Decision Making Through Objective Evidence – Leadership teams will learn how to gather and analyze data and information that can be used to make informed decisions.
- Supplier Management & Evaluation – It is important to maintain mutually beneficial relationships with your suppliers. Opal will help your procurement team to make decisions regarding suppliers that will enhance the organizations supply chain.
Stage 4 – Monitoring
Opal will perform 30, 60 & 90 Day Sustainability Audits to determine if executive management and staff members have maintained new/enhanced systems.
